Included below are some of my favorite ABA therapy toys. These toys have served us well in the areas of sensory play, turn taking, fine motor skills, imaginative play, object imitation, independent play, and communication. Next to each toy/activity I have explained why we use this in our therapy sessions and what skills they help us work on. Please contact me if you have further questions and be sure to check back as I will often add more favorite items for therapy time.

A sensory swing is great for therapy breaks. We also use it to help with communication and simple requests like "push me," "more," and "spin."
This classic toy is a great resource for therapy time. We have used Mr. Potato Head for turn taking, learning body parts, fine motor skills and rigidity issues.

Kinetic Sand Kits have been a favorite of ours. Great for sensory play and object imitation. This is also great for children who like sand or are trying to expand their sensory tolerances as it is soft and easier to work with indoors than real sand.
Duplo Blocks are a great tool for object imitation. We use these for building simple structures that Gabe must recreate. It helps with following directions, focus and fine motor skills.
Counting bears with matching color cups are great for one-to-one correspondence, colors, matching and counting.
Balloons are great for multiple skills we work on during therapy time. For a child who has difficulty throwing or catching, the slow movement of the balloon is easier for tracking. We also use these for manding (requesting an item or action) whether verbally, with sign language or pictures.
